  • Albumin Mediated Delivery (nab Technology)

    Cell division requires that a parent cell’s chromosomes are aligned and separated equally to opposite poles of the cell before the center of the cell is pinched in to ultimately create 2 separate daughter cells. The complex interplay involved in each of these steps requires a highly dynamic process of microtubule assembly and disassembly.

    Taxanes, an established and active class of cytotoxic drugs, disrupt microtubule dynamics to prevent proper cell division, which leads to cell death.1-5 Development efforts on intravenous taxane formulations have led to the use of albumin for drug delivery with clinical benefit.6
